Madrid is the modern and metropolitan capital of Spain, and is ideal for those wishing to immerse themselves in the culture and language of Spain and experience something extraordinary during their time abroad.

Its narrow, picturesque streets are full of the latest fashion shops, gastronomic delicacies and nightclubs, which make Madrid one of the must-visit places in Europe. Far from being the tourist trap of Barcelona, Madrid is open-minded and modern, while retaining the magic of historic and traditional Spain.

Perfectly located in the middle of Spain, Madrid is the ideal location to travel around Europe and has fantastic connections via airport, train and bus to all major cities and towns in the continent.

Madrid is a relatively cheap place to live and English teachers can earn decent salaries, while working just 25-30 hours per week.

Spanish food is relatively inexpensive and although Madrid is brimming with traditional restaurants, you’ll find that international restaurants and ingredients are easily accessible.

It’s recommended to have savings of approx €2000 – €2500 Euro before you begin your program, to live comfortably until you’re paid by your employer, which is usually at the end of your first month teaching.
